ScrapFabric
I am having so much fun creating new fabric from scraps. I am also finding interesting items to make from these fabrics.
I had an idea to make a quick machine stitched fabric bead. so I cut strips from the fabric and then cut them into rectangles of approximately 8 x 5 cm

The back side of the fabric towards me

Folded up so that the decorated side is facing out.

Machine stitched as close to the edge as possible on the open side

And made a row of beads.

The fabric is thick so the beads curl slightly and have lots of texture. The structure is slightly rounded on the bottom edge.

I made one large central bead from a rectangle of 16 x 8 cm

Threaded them onto a leather shoelace.
One ethnic beaded necklace.
