ScrapFabric Buttons

I really enjoyed making ScrapFabric So I decided to make more and this time to make some black and grey fabric buttons.

I chose the fabrics from the grey fabric "paintbox"

And added some more black to the mix

Tossed it around in a bowl so that the darker pieces were randomly mixed in

Stitched the pieces to create a piece of black grey ScrapFabric, which I then cut into squares

I ended up with 9 squares

I needed to make holes so that they can be used as buttons. I finally found my hole puncher but it didn't do the trick so I had to find another solution - a hammer and a large nail or 2.

Positioning the nail and pressing it a bit to mark the place for the hole.

Pressing it in and then hammering it down into the wooden slat through the fabric.

I leave the first nail in so that I get an idea where to position the second one.

Hammer that in as well

Pull them out of the wooden slat and push them through the holes that I made
