This is the second intuitive slow stitch guide where I work to make sense out of chaos. It is a downloadable PDF file. This time, there’s no pattern, just a blank canvas waiting to be filled intuitively with fabric scraps, embroidery, embellishments, and whatever your mood inspires. You get to choose the colors, and I’ll be guiding you through this journey as well.
Moving from a pattern to a freeform approach has been both different for me and challenging. Without a pattern, I need to rely entirely on intuition and the feel of the fabric collage in front of me. Though I do find that even if its wild, for me the colors still have to be balanced, so I do subconciously work with intention.
I am going to show you how to use various fabric components as "paints" to embellish your slow stitched projects, giving you fresh ideas to fill blank spaces and add dimension.

The PDF includes detailed instructions, but does not teach the basics of how to do stitches.
I provide links to stitch and fabric embellishment technique libraries that I have created for additional inspiration.
Supplies are not included.

Materials you will need
Embroidery cloth 30 x 30 cm
A selection of scrap fabrics in the colors of your choice
A 6 inch or 7 inch embroidery hoop
A selection of Poly-cotton or polyester sewing thread, as well as a selection of embroidery floss of your choosing and a selection of sewing and embroidery needles
