I finally finished creating the piece. This has been floating around in my head for quite a while. First I dreamt it and then I drew it and then I sewed it and then quilted it.
I saw the end piece and then spent time at the sewing machine trying to take the fabrics there. It is pretty close to what I saw even down to the quilting. This time I did it differently from the way that I usually quilt.
When I create a new tutorial I document all of the stages. from my initial thoughts, the sketches that I create, the gathering of the fabrics and the threads , the cutting, the sewing, the, ironing, the mistakes and the successes and then I put it all into writing.
The writing is another form of creation. I have begun and hope to complete by tomorrow. So follow to see.
