This morning I sorted the fabric strips that were left over from my Large Wave Landscapes patchwork piece.
I broke them down into sections so that I could use them for different projects.
These will be used in another large wave landscape quilted ocean colored piece
I am going to create a carnival fabric twilight piece with colors going from a darker, deeper skyline across the sea and down to the sandy beach.
I have short strips, longer thin strips, tie dyed scraps, cord and patchwork remnants. I am going to use all of them.
I still have to create patchwork for the sand. I prepared fabric scraps for that as well. Sand isn't just tan, its brown and olive and gold and orange as well.
I had planned on making a cup of coffee when i got up and sorting fabrics for an hour. I ended up sorting for 4 hours and cutting and planning 3 more pieces.
I laid the colors out for the twilight piece and this week when I go to the sewing machine to sew my moonscape I will create this one as well
Lovely colors…
