Organizing a small studio can feel like a puzzle with too many pieces. When every inch counts, finding a system that keeps materials accessible and tidy is essential. I discovered that sorting by color not only brings order but sparks creativity in unexpected ways. This approach turns studio organization into an art project itself, where sorting colors for creativity becomes a source of inspiration.

Alongside my slow stitch work, I have been developing a series of quilt patterns that can be adjusted to various sizes. The Sunrise Patterns are already online here These patterns offer flexibility for quilters who want to customize their projects. My next pattern in this series is called Mediterranean Summer. Unlike the slow stitch pieces, this version is designed for machine sewing, making it accessible for those who prefer working with a sewing machine.

This week, I am focusing on sorting my fabrics by type and size within the chosen color families. Once this physical organization is complete, I will be filming a lecture on Efficient Color Organization for Small Studios to share my full system and demonstrate how I work with colors in art, fashion and home decor.
