New Place New Year New Projects
Moving a sewing studio is no small task. I’m currently in the thick of it, packing up boxes filled with fabrics, plastic containers brimming with buttons, beads, buckles, and all the little notions that keep my creative projects alive. The studio is moving to a new place, and with the new year comes fresh energy and new projects. But before I can dive into those, I have to tackle the challenge of moving my sewing machines, especially my overlock, serger machines.

Not Enough Hours in the Day
I often find myself staring at the clock, wondering how time slips away so quickly. There are so many projects waiting for my attention: tutorials to create, samples to sew, video lessons to film, classes to plan and a whole new line of wearable patchwork quilted fashion tutorials in the works and not enough hours in the day. The wearables will be made from upcycled clothing, so no one has to draft or follow a pattern. It’s exciting, but the to-do list feels endless.

A Patchwork Shirt
When I finish a sewing project, I almost always end up with fabric remnants. These small pieces are too good to toss, so I save them for future projects.
