It is fun to create art. It normally goes on the wall. I love it when art is used in a practical fashion. I shared bags that people created using the wave landscape patchwork technique and today I am going to share pillows.

Well this time I thought that I had gone overboard with the technique.I almost decided not to complete it. BUT I do not give up, so I looked at it and looked again and came up with an interesting idea to complete it which I am working on now.

Now I have my fabrics in all the colors that I chose. I have put down on paper what I saw in my head. That accomplishes a number of things for me. I see a tangible color layout as I saw it in my head and while drawing the piece I get the "feel" of how the fabrics will flow along my drawn lines.

Designing the star. Whenever I create a new design I sketch it first. Rough sketches, at first, as the ideas come to me. Sometimes as I awaken with my first cup of coffee. I have small piles of scrap paper and pencils always within reach. I never know when an idea will come to me. I have notebooks which I transfer the ideas to afterwards so that I have a record of my creative process.

And then I saw a Nova. A bright light shattering into many many colors, greens and turquoises and lilacs and purples. That is the one for the making of a star.

This week I was choosing fabrics for a number of different techniques and saw many shortish thin strips in the pile. I sorted them into color families and saw that I had enough strips to create a strip quilted patchwork quilt from scraps.

As usual I am working on a number of projects at the same time. I have been trying to focus and not do that.

The first season in the slow stitching course is winter. All my seasons have all the colors of the rainbow in them. Different hues and different depths of color.

I am still working on my slow stitching course. Its amazing, I haven't bought fabric or threads for years and everytime that I begin a new project I am never sure that I will find the colors and fabrics that I envision in my supply. I always do and more.

The idea that I have for the course is to create some crumb patchwork pieces using hand stitching and then teach how to create fabric flowers and slow stitch a floral garden. Slow stitching seasons.

I am working on a tutorial for a versatile tunic from fun to fancy with many different options. different fabrics, different pockets and different necklines and hemlines

I love working with flowers, I don't like wearing them as much, and I don't like appliquing them on bags that I use. I made an exception this time. I wanted a rustic bag for myself.

My birthday is in January and a little girl, the daughter of the neighbours has a birthday 2 days before me and she invited me to celebrate with her. I decided to create a floral patchwork bag for her. Something tranquil, a quiet safe place for these times.

I created 2 large crumb patchwork pieces . One is an abstract crumb quilted patchwork art piece in combat colors and the other will have an anemone - kalaniot applique.

I have completed a detailed tutorial for the floral boho bag
